


Jesse Ronneau is a composer and improviser. His music features extensive use of explorative instrumental techniques;
a prioritization of timbre above other musical parameters; processing of live instruments via Max/MSP/Jitter and
the use of acoustic phenomena as compositional constructs.
His music has been commissioned and performed by many of the leading exponents of Avant-garde or Experimental music and
has been performed throughout Europe and North America, as well as performances in Africa, Asia, Australia and
South America.
Originally from the Chicago area, he moved to Ireland in 2006 and Germany in 2013, where he now lives in a small village
outside of Leipzig.
He studied at the University of Cincinnati-CCM and Roosevelt University. He received his Doctorate in
Music Composition from Northwestern University.
He has held academic positions in the USA, Ireland and the UK.
